Barth Riedel

Dr. Barth Riedel is a highly experienced, board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty focus in hand and upper extremity surgery.

He earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Loma Linda University Health, receiving comprehensive training across the full spectrum of orthopedic care. Dr. Riedel further advanced his expertise through a prestigious Hand & Upper Extremity Fellowship at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where he developed specialized skills in treating complex conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

Dr. Riedel holds dual board certifications from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Surgery of the Hand (Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery).

With a distinguished career spanning academic medicine, trauma care, and education, Dr. Riedel brings extensive expertise to his patients:
– 15 years of Level I academic hand trauma experience at Loma Linda University
– 8 years as Associate Director of the Virchel Wood Hand Fellowship Program at Loma Linda University
– Served as Orthopedic Medical Director of the SAC Health System facility in San Bernardino
– Attained the rank of Associate Professor of Orthopedics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine
